The President's message
Welcome to the Cameroon Chamber of Trade and commerce! We are very
proud of our members and our partners. The Cameroon Chamber of Commerce primary
goal is to promote trade, joint ventures, investments, cultural exchange and
goodwill between Cameroon and foreign countries . In the process, we would contribute
to the expansion of the Global business presence in Cameroon, we would
assist more and more Cameroonian companies to get access to the
world market and we would help in the fight against poverty in
Cameroon.
At Cameroon Chamber of Commerce and industry we believe in free trade, limited government
intervention in economy and protection of property rights
At the end of the day we would like to be the premier bi-national chamber of
commerce of choice for foreign companies interested in doing business in
Cameroon, and an institution of public utility in Cameroon
The Cameroon Chamber of trade , industries and commerce is run by American and Cameroonian
professionals with a great deal of skills and knowledge of both American
and Cameroonian business environment. The services that we render to
our members are three fold including information, consulting and
networking. We provide our members with all relevant economic and
business information they need to make informed decisions on business
opportunities, we serve as interface so as to take away the language and
culture barriers and we put together and manage a network of foreign
and Cameroonian businesses and business men and women.
My last word will go to the Cameroon people who has thrive through out the
years to maintain it social, economic and more importantly its political
stability, all things that make Cameroon one of the most traveled African
countries of our time. So much so that in recent years the foreign
business presence in Cameroon has become more important than ever
before.
With the Cameroon-Chad pipeline, the electricity production and
distribution company and more recently the urban public transportation
venture, just to name a few, majors foreign companies are investing big
bucks in Cameroon. Conversely a small but steadily growing number of
Cameroon businesses are taking advantage of the African Growth and
Opportunity Act (AGOA) to get access to the world market.
So, this is definitely a Win-Win situation: The world is a great market for the
Cameroon emergent economy and Cameroon is a great destination for
Foreign investors
After all as the former US Secretary of State Collin Powell once said:
"Cameroon is a place of stability in that part of Africa and we want to do
everything we can to strengthen our relationship with Cameroon"
